Quality Management System for AEGIS

The AEGIS Quality Management System is the set of policies, processes and procedures that are to be followed by all members of AEGIS to assure an appropriate quality of the activities in AEGIS, the virtual European genebank system.

A number of principles have been recognized that will underpin AQUAS.

AQUAS will consist of four complementary components:

  1. operational framework
  2. technical elements
  3. capacity building
  4. oversight mechanism
